Andrew Hays

A beautiful soul left this world on May 6, 2020. Andrew Lee Hays, born September 2, 1958.
A man richer in character and integrity. He grew up on a farm in Hamlin, Iowa. One of seven children to Ellsworth and Margaret Hays.
Andrew graduated from Exira high school in May of 1976. He went on to graduate from the University of Iowa with a Bachelors in Fine Arts.
Andrew moved to California where he enjoyed painting, photography, writing and even some wood work. He was an employee of Cigna Health Care for 26 years until retirement in 2020. He believed in giving and helping others. He was a regular supporter of Los Angeles Food Bank and spent 22 wonderful years with his longtime partner Greg.
Andrew is preceded in death by his parents Margaret and Ellsworth.
He is survived by his partner Greg, his sisters Dee, Kathy, Mairlyn, Pauline, and Lisa, his brother Jon, 4 nieces, 6 nephews, 5 great nieces, and 5 great nephews, 4 cats (Sophie, Nell, Max, & Mo) along with many friends and loved ones.
Andrew will be greatly missed and will live on in each one of us. He will be cremated and laid to rest in Bowman Cemetery. Services will be planned at a later date. (Possibly more than one)
