OBITUARY - HUBERT F. STINE
On December 5, 2022, Hubert F Stine of Panorama City passed away at the age of 85.
Hubert was born to John and Bernice Stine in 1936. He attended Manual Arts High School and worked as a mechanic lead man before starting Stine & Sons Carpet Care. He developed a loyal clientele for the next 25 years and retired in 1998.
In 1956, Hubert married Carol Bliss and together raised three children, John, Hubert and Michael.
In his spare time, Hubert mentored his boys in team sports, primarily baseball and basketball. His passion was baseball and he managed Little League and Babe Ruth League teams. He became known as a successful coach who helped develop competitive players.
Camping, travel and golf were hobbies that he enjoyed with his wife, children and extended family. Although known as a man of few words, he was quick with a smile and had a good sense of humor.
He is preceded by his father John Butler Stine, mother Bernice Margaret Coudry (Strand), wife Carol, son John, son Michael, brother Arnold Mack and brother Chris Coudry.
He is survived by his son Hubert, daughter-in-law Judith, brother Charles Coudry, sister-in-law Jacqui Coudry and sister-in-law Nancy Howe.
He is survived by five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on January 6th. There will be a visitation at Crawford Lorenzen, 8717 Tampa Ave, Northridge CA, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. It will be followed by a graveside ceremony at about 1:15 at Oakwood Memorial Park, 22601 Lassen St, Chatsworth CA.
