Lynn Velarde

Lynn C. Velarde died on April 20, 2022 at West Hills hospital due to various causes of an infection.
Lynn C. Velarde was born on April 12,1961 in Northridge, CA to Louis and Kina Velarde. She lived in Canoga Park with her daughter Stephanie and her soon to be son in law Martin.
Lynn was a single mother and always said that having her daughter Stephanie was the best thing that happened to her in her whole life. They were best friends and did everything together. They had a love and a bond that was like no other. They were all each other had. Lynn and her daughter had fun going out dancing together and going to see the Gipsy Kings every year in concert. She was very excited because her daughter found a wonderful man Martin and they were to be married in a couple of months. She had her dress and everything waiting for that special day she dreamed of. Sadly, she won’t be there to see it now, but she knew her daughter was in good hands and she will be watching from above. Lynn had 4 Facebook groups that she created. They were Diamond Girlz, Rockabilly Pinups and things, Disco Explosion, and Welcome to the 70s, 80s, and 90s. She had a wonderful admin and friend CM Recio who helped her and continues to help keep her groups going in her memory. Lynn worked in retail for over 15 years and she loved music of all genres,
She loved shopping and the color pink. She loved collecting Marilyn Monroe things. Her room was full of her pictures. She loved Hello Kitty and Grogu. She also had two water turtles Luke and Leia. Lynn had been ill for many years going into the hospital and into rehab back and forth for the last four years. She had fell many times, but she always had faith that she would walk again. She never gave up.
Lynn was a beautiful and strong woman. She was a Chingona. She had a heart of gold and would help anyone who needed it. She was very giving and funny, and was still full of life. But now she can Rest In Peace with no more pain and suffering. She can now be reunited with her mother and father, and all her loved ones in heaven who she missed so much.
Lynn will be very missed and she will never be forgotten especially by her daughter Stephanie who always said her mother was the other piece of her heart.
Please remember and honor Lynn C Velarde because she was an amazing woman and mother and there will never be another woman like her . It’s not goodbye, it’s till we meet again. Rest In Peace Diamond Girl .
