“By touching so many lives, You, have changed
the world… And that’s the miracle.”
Harry Ongsitco was born to the late Marcelo Ongsitco, and to Clarita Buzon, in the Philippines
on March 22, 1970. He was the youngest in the brood of 3. He was raised in a devout Catholic
family, which has become his foundation in his life’s journey. His patron saint is St. Joseph as he
admired him for his obedience to God’s will.
Harry graduated from the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines, with a degree in Computer
Science. In 2015, he married his beautiful wife Joana Lyn Abo, and they were blessed with 2
beautiful children, Hans Jethro (5 yo) and Haily Jane (1 month old). He was a devoted father to
his children and a loving and responsible husband to Joana.
Harry was a jolly person and there’s never a dull moment with him. He was kind, patient,
generous and helpful. He was the kind of person that didn’t want to burden or let anyone
worry about anything. He loved life and he lived it to the fullest. He touched many lives with his
kindness and cheerful attitude. Harry believed that we can make the world a better place if only
we can learn to respect and trust one another, and to care for God’s creation. Harry has a
brilliant mind that every conversation can lead to a deep reflection about life…
Harry, at age 51, died in the arms of his wife at Keck USC Medical Center after courageous
battle with cancer. Till his last breath, he was grateful of the life the Lord has given him… and
offered all his pains for the glory of God!
