Kai Yim Leung

Kai Yim Leung at the age of 85, had passed away at his last resident Meadowbrook Senior Living in Agoura Hills, California on January 18, 2024.

Kai Yim was born on January 7, 1939, in Guangdong province, China. He is the oldest son of Yee Chun Leung and Lai Sin Wong. He has one younger brother, Kai Tek and two younger sisters, Kim Wan and Kim Mae. Shortly after receiving his high school diploma at Guangzhou Pui Ching Middle School, he moved to Hong Kong along with the family. Later he earned an associate degree at a technical college in Hong Kong while working at a textile factory. He had worked in the textile industry for over a decade before becoming a small business entrepreneur in trading for many years until he retired. On February 27, 1971, Kai Yim married his high school sweetheart, Lun Ying Cheng. They have one daughter, Patty Leung who was born in Hong Kong. He and Lun Ying immigrated to Los Angeles, California in 1999 after his retirement.

Kai Yim likes to paint and practice Chinese calligraphy. He also appreciates nature, fine arts and visiting different museums. Even though he is a man of few words and not good at expressing himself, he deeply cares for his family and loved ones.

Kai Yim is survived by his spouse, Lun Ying Cheng and his only daughter, Patty Chiang, son-in-law, Joe Chiang with grandson, Caden Chiang and granddaughter, Chloe Chiang.
